The Collaborative Reference Database (CRD) is a tool for providing reference services, that is being developed by the National Diet Library, Japan (NDL) in collaboration with libraries throughout Japan. The CRD currently comprises about 180,000 records of queries from library patrons together with answers prepared by reference librarians and is available for browsing by the general public.

On February 20, 2025, the National Diet Library has started offering the “Remote photoduplication service (PDF file download)”, where we provide photocopies as PDF files, in addition to the conventional “Remote photoduplication service (courier or postal mail)”, where we provide printed photocopies by courier or postal mail.
The National Diet Library Japan would like to announce a webinar on Information Sources for Japanese Studies, which is being held through February 27, 2025.
